Others joining Shaw in the exit door are Juan Mata, Ander Herrera, Chris Smalling, Phil Jones, Daley Blind and Matteo Darmian.
The Red Devils are also expected to lose Marouane Fellaini whose contract expires in the summer.
Club captain Michael Carrick has announced his retirement, while maverick striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic will be released to join a club in the MLS.
The BBC reports that Mourinho’s targets are Real Madrid’s Gareth Bale, Tottenham pair Toby Alderweireld and Danny Rose, Chelsea winger Willian and Shakthar Donetsk midfielder Fred.
As in-form striker Romelu Lukaku recently stated:“I know that a lot of good players will come in next summer – that’s for sure.
”Shaw’s tense relationship with Mourinho came to the fore once again as the England left-back bore the brunt of the manager’s anger following United’s uninspiring FA Cup quarter-final win over Brighton.
Mou hauled off Shaw at half-time for ‘not following tactical instructions’, before unleashing tirade against the defender in his post-match press conference.
“I was not happy with his performance,”said Mourinho.
“We did not play as I had prepared the team to play.United have been paired with Tottenham Hotspur in the semi-final of the FA Cup as they look to at least win a trophy from what has been an underwhelming campaign.
