April Joju Muse has shared a disturbing video of the horror she endured at the hands of an officer of the Lagos Police.
From the video posted on her page before she was taken away, she is stuck in an accident scene which already happened before the recording began, and she is yelling at the police officer who she says attacked her.
A LASTMA officer attempts to intervene but fails, and next the police officer forces his hands into the actress’ car and she informs him that she is recording the scene.
This got him upset because he breaks through her window and peppersprays her directly on the face.
“My dear friends, if I die, please look for [me] at Ajiwe police station,” she wrote on her page, adding, “I was brutalised on my way to work. I’ve posted a video.”
This comes amid the nationwide outrage against the Nigerian Police whose Anti Robbery Squad officers (theSARS), have been called out for various violent attacks on Nigerians.
Some of those who have shared their experiences with the SARS arm of the police include singer Simi, who said the officers once threatened to have her shot for simply laughing, and comedian Seyi Law, who narrated how they threatened to have him killed and his body disposed of.
The horror stories continue daily, mostly shared under the #EndSARS hashtag, while some Nigerians already took to the streets to demand that the arm of the police be scrapped.
UPDATE:
Information reaching us indicates that the officer responsible for the assault has been arrested. This happened after the incident was brought to the notice of the authorities, following the video shared by the actress.

At the sit down with the police and concernedyouths this morning, I got loads of tags on theVideo of an officer assaulting actress April Muse. I immediately told and showed @opetodolapo who was seated beside me and she swung into action.
When it was my turn to speak, it was one of the things i spoke about and @aleeygiwa and oga Moshood were shocked and all got on their phones to see the video.
Just an hour after, the Lagos Force PRO of @policenglagos @chikeotigodwin just announced that the officer from Ajiwe police station that assaulted actress April Muse has been arrested.
That April is at the station as we speak.
We all need to do our best to keep exposing such officers wether sars or not.
