Morata and Lukaku are at the “same level” - Conte

Antonio Conte says that Alvaro Morata and Romelu Lukaku are at the “same level” after Chelsea landed the Spanish striker last week.
Morata signed a five-year deal with the Premier League champions on Friday night after weeks of speculation about his future at Real Madrid.
The 24-year-old was heavily linked with a move to Manchester United for much of the summer but the Red Devils’ signing of Romelu Lukaku from Everton paved the way for Morata’s move to Chelsea.
There has been much debate about which club signed their top target this summer, but Conte insists that Morata and Lukaku are at a similar level.
Conte is quoted as saying by Metro: “It is not important to say [if his preference was to sign Lukaku].
“For me, Lukaku and Morata are at the same level, first choice for a great club like Chelsea and United.
“He made a good step forward since three years ago; now he is one of the best strikers in Europe. He has great potential, he can improve a lot.”
Morata will be hoping to help Chelsea defend their Premier League title next season after the Blues won the top-flight crown in the Italian manager’s first campaign at the club.
Chelsea missed out on the chance to win a domestic double last season when they were beaten by Arsenal in the FA Cup final at Wemble
