Iheanacho set to become the most expensive Nigerian player after Man City accept Leicester £25m bid

Nigeria striker Kelechi Iheanacho is on the verge of completing a sensational switch to former Premier League champions Leicester City after Manchester Cityaccepted a £25 million offer for him.
According toSky Sports,a deal to bring Iheanacho, 20, to the Foxes has been agreed in principle, but, there are still contractual issues to sort out before manager Craig Shakespeare can show his major summer coup.
Leicester edged West Ham in the race to lure the talented Nigerian, who according to Shakespeare could form a formidable partnership with Jamie Vardy upfront given their pace and deadly finishing.
The 20-year-oldSuper Eagles forward fell down the pecking order under Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola,paving the wayfor the Foxes to lure him to the King Power Stadium. He started just once in 2017 under the Catalan coach last season, with Gabriel Jesus and Sergio Aguero preferred ahead of him, yet he managed to bag seven goals in 29 games in all competitions.
The former youth star netted eight Premier League goals in 26 games in his breakthrough season in 2015/16 – 14 in all competitions, making him one of the most exciting prospects in the top-flight.
Iheanacho, who will be joining fellow Nigerians Ahmed Musa and Wilfred Ndidi atthe King Power, is set to become Leicester’sthird summer recruit after defender Harry Maguire joined from Hull and Vicente Iborrafrom Sevilla.
