Anthony Joshua v Klitschko rematch date confirmed

The eagerly anticipated rematch between heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua and Wladimir Klitschko has been pencilled in for November 11 in Las Vegas.
This was disclosed Tuesday by promoter Eddie Hearn who has been in Las Vegas with Joshua trying to get licence and promote the showdown.
The Nigerian-British champ Joshua, 27, added the vacant WBA Super title to his IBF crown when he stopped 41-year-old Klitschko in the 11th round in anepic heavyweight clashat London’s Wembley Stadium in April.
And a second showdown between the heavyweights is now set to take place Stateside — despite interest from cities the world over,Mirrorwrites.
“I’ve been in Vegas with AJ, officially applying for my Nevada boxing licence to promote there and that went well,”Boxing supremo Hearn said Tuesday.“I met with the MGM and met with the T-Mobile Arena. Vegas is the front-runner and November 11 is the date that is pencilled in.
“It will probably take a couple of weeks to get everything over the line, but I believe Klitschko will take this fight and believe Vegas will be the one.”Stephen Espinoza, boss of American broadcasterShowtime,is of no doubt the rematch would be a massive hit in Vegas.
“It would be the biggest heavyweight Vegas fight in probably a couple of decades, so wewould love to host it,”he said.
“That’s a massive mega-fight wherever it is. The first fight was a star-making performance and for many here in the US it was their introduction to Joshua.
”The Joshua-Klitschko rematch will follow super-clashes already lined up in Vegas including theFloyd Mayweather v Conor McGregorshowdown August 26 and the monster middleweight bout between Saul Alvarez and Gennady Golovkin penciled for September 16.
