Wenger Set for new 2-Year Contract After FA Cup Final

As the debates rages whether Arsenal manager, Arsene Wenger, still haswhat it takes to manage at the top,one thing is clear: hisstaying powercan never be in doubt.Despite the aggressive #WengerOut campaignfrom majority of Arsenal fans in light of another underwhelming season, the Frenchman is set to extend his contract at the Emirates by another two years irrespective of the outcome of today’sFA Cup final against Chelsea.
According toMirror, the announcement could come as early as next week with the club fully committed to him staying with a behind-the-scenes reshuffle.
At the end, it comes down to Wenger’s future not being decided on the result of 90 minutes after over two decades in charge of the club.
It’s been another rocky campaign (Archive)Premier League championsChelsea come in as red-hot favourites as Arsenal underdogs and are missing captain Laurent Koscielny.Arsenal ran out 2-0 winners the last time both sides clashed in the FA Cup final in 2002, but the scales have been tipped since then as the Blues now parade themselves as the bosses of London, and for good reason.
The decline notwithstanding, there is still a view that Wenger has been remarkably loyal, consistent and with the right changes the club can challenge at the top again.
This comes after majority shareholder, US tycoonStan Kroenke, reaffirmed that he is at the club for the long term and to win trophies after a threatening offer from Russian billionaire, Alisher Usmanov.
