Serena Williams has set the records straight about her career; she is not retiring any time soon.Williams has not played since bagging the Australian Open in January.
On Monday, Angelique Kerber took Williams’ No. 1 ranking, howeverthe pregnant mumremains the most decorated female player in tennis history—and, of course, the greatest tennis player ever—with 23 Grand Slam singles titlesand 39 major titles overall.
And Serena Williams is not ready to take a bow.
In new interview withTMZ Sports, the 35-year-old legend, who is currentlytaking maternity leave, said she is not retiring from the court anytime soon.
“Never,” she told paps who accosted her yesterday as she entered her car.
Later, she took to her Twitter, as she has been doing of recent, to regale fans her frustrations with pregnancy.
“No heartburn tonight. I also had no spicy food. Is this my future for the next several months? I live for peppers on peppers on peppers,” said the pregnant mum.
And then she went on to add that her baby loves watching tennis too.
