Top Grossing Movies: The Wedding Party , A Trip To Jamaica Leads Nollywood’s 10 Best Box Office Earners | See List

Mo Abudu is celebrating the success of her last two Nollywood movies.

Today, the EbonyLife TV boss took to her Instagram to share a screenshot of the recent statistics detailing Nollywood’s best box office earners of all time, which her latest film leads.

“Two EbonyLife Films’ on the list of highest -grossing Nigerian films. 

We thank everyone that has helped us achieve this great feat,” the media guru shared on Instagram

The two Mo Abudu movies that made the list are:

Wedding Party Directed by Kemi Adetiba,Wedding Partymovie follows the wedding of two characters played by music boss Banky W and award winning actress, Adesua Etomi. 

Wedding Party made its debut at the Toronto Film Festival (TIFF)in September of last year, and later, the Nigerian premiere was held last November in Lagos.

Fifty:Directed by Biyi Bandele, the scandaloustale follows four vivacious middle-aged women who are forced to challenge society norms, religion, marriage and divorce, and what many perceive as ‘values’, is gripping. 

And this is because the movie attempts to pull down the typical cultures that make it difficult for diverse women, especially women who are in their late 40s and early 50s, to achieve their life goals.

Days ago, Mo celebrated the success of The Wedding Party after it smashed the box office, grossing over N450 million, many times more than AY Makun’s 30 Days in Atlanta which made it into the Guinness Book of World Record last year as Nigeria’s highest grossing film.
