EFCC arraignes two men for taking fake documents to UK embassy

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, yesterday, arraigned two men, Jerome Okoye and Kenneth Ogedengbe, before Justice J. E. Oyefeso of an Ikeja High Court, for allegedly forgingdocuments to secure a United Kingdom, UK, visiting visa.According to the anti-graft agency, Okoye filed a visa application before the British High Commission in Lagos, but presentedfake documents.Okoye was alleged to have conspired with Kenneth Ogedengbe and presented a forged Certificate of Occupancy for a land in Abeokuta.They were further accused of forging a revenue receipt of the Lagos State Government issued in the name of JeromeElectronics Nigeria Limited.However, the British High Commission found out that the documents were fake, as they did not tally with the ones in Lagos State’s database.
