According to reports fromBleacher Report (via Daily Star) Manchester United have agreed a €40m transfer for Henrikh Mkhitaryan after Borussia Dortmund have agreed to accept United’s latest offer.The negotiations between Dortmund and Mino Raiola (Mkhitaryan’s agent)have been ongoing for several weeks without any concrete results.
According to Bild, United’s first bid was in the region of €26million but was immediately turned down by Dortmund as they wanted no less than €40million.Agent Raiola was keen to get the dealdone for his client and pushed the German club to agree on the transfer fee. After several rounds of negotiations, United agreed to pay the asked €40m which could eventually see the player make a move to Old Trafford.According toCalciomercato, Mkhitaryan’s medical is scheduled for 25 June (tomorrow) before he could officially be unveiled as a United player.
Mkhitaryan was one of the best players in Europe last season amassing 23 goals and 32 assists for Dortmund.His playing style would enable Unitedto field a potent attacker from their right hand side, a void which has not been fulfilled ever since Cristiano Ronaldo’s departure to Real Madrid.
