The United States has taken serious action against 41 Nigerians who committed various offences.It was reported that 41 Nigerians were deported from the US to Nigeria on Wednesday, June 22.
The Nation reports that immigration sources said all the deportees were male and had committed various offences that necessitated their return to Nigeria.
They were flown in aboard a chartered aircraft operated by Miami Air International and they arrived at the Lagos international airport at 12.20pm.
26 of those deported were for police offences, six had immigration related problems while nine had committed drug-related offences.
This is coming on the heels of the decision of the US to revoke the visas ofthree members of the House of Representative for soliciting for sex and related offences.
Accused Nigerian Lawmakers threaten the US governmentThe accused members are Samuel Ikon (PDP, Akwa Ibom), Mohammed Gololo (APC, Bauchi) and Mark Gbillah (APC, Benue).
They were accused of sexual misconduct during their visit to the US for a leadership programme.
