Adele Soars To Number One As New Song Hello Becomes Fastest-selling Single Of 2015

Adele is continuing to dominate the charts with her new single Hello, which is already at number
one in the UK. Just days after it smashed Vevo's record for the most-viewed music video in 24
hours, Hello has also become the fastest-selling single of 2015.
Since its release on 23 October 2015, Hello has sold more than 165,000 copies in the UK with
156,000 of those from downloads.
According to the Official Charts Company, the single is currently sitting at number one on the
charts, four days before the official countdown is released, and is clocking up an average of 52,000
downloads per day.
Adele, 27, is on course to overtake Ellie Goulding's record for the biggest opening week sales with her Fifty Shades Of Grey soundtrack
song, Love Me Like You Do, shifting 173,000 in its first week of release in January 2015. It predicted that Adele will surpass Goulding's
figures by this Friday (30 October 2015).
